CHERRY HILL, NJ − (October 2016)
– Natalie Locketz, RD, a recently hired ShopRite Retail Dietitian at the ShopRite of Garden State Pavilion in Cherry Hill, will be making her second appearance this season on the hit Food Network show Cutthroat Kitchen later this month.
Locketz, who was hired as an in-store dietitian at the South Jersey-based supermarket in late August, returns to the popular cooking-themed show Wednesday, Oct. 26
as part of a Halloween-themed show called “Tournament of Terror.”
"The show is a fun talking point with customers,” says Locketz. “Growing up, the Food Network has always been a big part of my life. I idolized Alton Brown and the guest chefs. It was such a treat to be able to see these people in the flesh and meet them."
A trained dietitian and former personal chef, Locketz was previously a finalist on the show during Season 8. She was asked to return this year.
As a Registered Dietitian for the ShopRite of Garden State Pavilion, Locketz provides complimentary health and wellness services that guide customers on a range of issues, from learning how to shop and prepare healthy meals, to proper nutrition for specific health conditions and dietary needs. Locketz also offers recipes with healthy alternatives, provides information on pantry makeovers, and navigates the aisles with shoppers to help them better understand food labels. In addition, Locketz partners with local hospitals, schools and non-profits to conduct free health and wellness-focused workshops and seminars.
Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, Locketz earned her Bachelors of Arts in Dance from the University of Colorado in Boulder and received her Dietetics degree from the University of Minnesota. She attended the University of Nevada, in Reno, for her Dietetic Internship. Prior to working at ShopRite, she had a private practice in Palo Alto, California called Full Belly Nutrition. She was also a personal chef for several families in the Bay Area.
A resident of Philadelphia, in her spare time, Locketz enjoys cooking, traveling and spending time gardening on the roof of her deck with her husband.
As part of ShopRite’s in-store dietitian team, Locketz is one of more than 130 Retail Dietitians who service ShopRite customers in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Delaware and Maryland.
