– The ShopRite of Milford opens Sunday, June 5,
with the first customer, a winner of the Kids Count of Milford auction, getting a shopping spree in the state-of-the-art supermarket at 935 Boston Post Rd.
The 70,000-square-foot ShopRite of Milford features new and expanded services such as a store dietitian, pharmacist, and more natural and organic offerings along with freshly prepared meals customers can enjoy in-store or take home. Customer mezzanine seating with free WiFi access, a new grilling station, culinary center and community room for events are also included at the new store location.
The June 5 grand opening will kick off at 7:45 am with a ribbon cutting to be attended by Milford Mayor Ben Blake and a special first customer. As part of a fundraiser auction for Kids Count of Milford, a charity dedicated to defraying preschool costs for parents, the ShopRite of Milford donated a shopping spree and $100 ShopRite gift card to the highest bidder. The winning bidder, Missy Dubin, will be on hand Sunday to shop first at the store. A lifelong Milford resident and special education teacher in Fairfield, Mrs, Dubin will kick off her shopping spree in the new store at 7 a.m.

In addition to a wide selection of groceries and fresh produce delivered daily, the ShopRite of Milford will feature the free services of an on-site dietitian to help customers shop for healthy choices or specific diets. The new store will also include a from-scratch bake shop; fresh seafood delivered daily; a full-service floral department; pharmacy, freshly prepared foods and a broad selection of ethnic, Natural, organic, and gluten-free products. Customers will also be able to use ShopRite From Home to place orders online and pick them up at the store or have them delivered. The new store is outfitted with the latest energy-saving and sustainable technologies in refrigeration and lighting, including LED lighting and environmentally friendly refrigerant systems.
The new store will be open daily from 7am to 11pm
