March is "Health & Wellness" Month at ShopRite

Keasbey, NJ -- (March 2016) – In honor of National Nutrition Month, ShopRite has declared March “Health & Wellness” month, and will be hosting free programs, in-store sampling events, and cooking classes focused on health and wellness.
“ShopRite is committed to being a year-round health and wellness resource for our customers and our community,” said Natalie Menza, Manager of Health and Wellness at ShopRite. “In March, we’re especially excited to have the opportunity to celebrate National Nutrition Month® with an exciting roster of specially-themed events, demos, and live cooking classes, all focused on helping our customers live better, healthier lives.”
Each year the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics recognizes March as National Nutrition Month  through a campaign designed to educate and encourage the adoption of healthy eating and physical activity habits. This year, the theme for National Nutrition Month is to “Savor the Flavor of Eating Right,” which focuses on ways to add flavor to food, without adding sodium.
Customers can visit for a list of upcoming in-store events. Highlights of the month-long celebration include:
  • ShopRite’s nearly 120 in-store Retail Dietitians will offer complimentary individual nutrition counseling, new “Savor The Flavor-” themed recipes, menu ideas, recipe makeovers and “shop-alongs.”
  • ShopRite Dietitians will offer cooking demos, culinary classes for both kids and adults.
  • ShopRite Dietitians will offer samples of innovative or specially selected “healthy” products.
