ShopRite Supermarkets, Inc. Donates $185,000 to Hudson Valley Honor Flight

ShopRite Supermarkets, Inc. surprised representatives of Hudson Valley Honor Flight with a check for $185,000 during a sendoff ceremony for its Mission #18, which departed Nov. 4 from Stewart International Airport in New Windsor, NY.
A strong supporter of Hudson Valley Honor Flight since its 2012 inception, with $560,000 donated to date, ShopRite’s recent contribution helped fund Mission #18, and will also lend financial support for future missions out of Stewart.
Hudson Valley Honor Flight arranges one-day, all-expense-paid journeys for veterans that include visits to their respective war memorials. Its November 4 mission included flights for 86 area veterans comprised mostly of Korean War veterans along with a group of World War II veterans, and two Vietnam veterans. This is Hudson Valley Honor Flight’s final mission of 2017.
