ShopRite of Greater Morristown Unveils First NJ Supermarket Tesla Capable Charging Station

April 14, 2016
Cedar Knolls, NJ  –The ShopRite of Greater Morristown recently unveiled two Tesla capable charging stations for electric cars at the store on E. Hanover Avenue.

The special unveiling, part of a series of ShopRite events marking Earth Month and Earth Day in April, also featured a vendor fair with food and product samples from environmentally conscious companies.

“We are so excited to bring these Tesla capable charging stations to the ShopRite of Greater Morristown. The addition of these electric car charging stations at ShopRite is another example of how the ShopRite of Greater Morristown provides unique, quality experiences and services for our customers. We love being a community based and community minded supermarket dedicated to environmental sustainability,” said Perry Blatt, director of Village Super Markets, which owns and operates the ShopRite of Greater Morristown.

The Tesla capable destination charging station, which will allow owners of Tesla electric cars to charge their cars for free at the station, is located in the side parking lot at the ShopRite at 178 E. Hanover Ave. The store also offers a wellness center with a fitness studio and Registered Dietitian and a variety of in-store dining opportunities – everything from a Green Juice Bar and Oyster Bar to a Lavazza Café and Patisserie.

Earthbound Farm, KeVita, ShopRite Organic Private Label, Organic Valley products, Naturally Beautiful Farms, and Sylvania were just some of the vendors who took part in the unveiling ceremony last week.  Representatives from TransOptions, Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority and the Association of NJ Environmental Committees also attended.
