In-Store Dietitian Brings Free Health and Wellness Services to ShopRite Customers
Bristol, CT - (January 22, 2014) – To help customers live healthier lifestyles, ShopRite of Bristol will now provide the free services of an in-store dietitian.
Paul Tornaquindici, President of Tornaquindici ShopRites, a family business that owns and operates the ShopRite of Bristol, announced today that Sarabeth Campanelli, Registered Dietitian, has joined the organization. Ms. Campanelli received her Bachelor’s Degree from Penn State University in Kinesiology. Later while attending the University of Connecticut, Ms. Campanelli studied nutrition. Her dietetic internship was fulfilled in Charleston, SC. Ms. Campanelli also has experience working in acute care and rehab hospitals.
"There are many concerns and questions about nutrition and special diets that need a personal, knowledgeable answer,” said Mr. Tornaquindici. “We are delighted to have Sarabeth in our store to work closely with our customers, helping them eat well and be happy.”
As the new Retail Dietitian for the ShopRite of Bristol, Ms. Campanelli will work with customers to educate them on making healthier choices while food shopping, as well as carrying out these choices by preparing healthy balanced meals. Ms. Campanelli will host a series of in-store healthy cooking classes, offer delicious recipes, hold seminars on pantry makeovers, and even conduct tours for shoppers looking to improve their diet.

As part of ShopRite’s Retail Dietitian team, Ms. Campanelli is one of more than seventy Registered Dietitians who service ShopRite stores in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Maryland. Together these Dietitians offer nutrition advice, meal planning, and diet modification for specific medical conditions.
All nutrition services are available to customers free of charge. To make an appointment, customers can call (860) 584-8022.
ShopRite of Bristol is conveniently located at 1200 Farmington Ave & Route 6, Bristol, CT 06010. The store is open Monday-Thursday from 7AM-10PM, and Friday-Sunday from 7AM-11PM. The Pharmacy is open Monday through Friday from 9AM-7PM, Saturday from 9AM-5PM, and is closed on Sunday.
