‘ShopRite Chefs On Call’ Provide Customers With A Stress-Free Thanksgiving

November 23, 2015
Keasbey, NJ (Nov. 20, 2015) –  Wouldn’t it be great to have an expert in the kitchen while you cook your meal this Thanksgiving?

ShopRite wants to help holiday hosts with the ShopRite Chefs on Call service, a select team of ShopRite chefs that will be on call again this Thanksgiving week to help home cooks who call 1-800-ShopRite. Our chefs will offer culinary advice and pointers to customers seeking recipes and cooking tips from trained professionals.
From Sunday, Nov. 22 through Wednesday, Nov. 25, our top ShopRite Culinary Workshop Chef instructors will serve up answers to customers on questions about Thanksgiving meal preparation.  Whether cooking a full Thanksgiving dinner, preparing a side dish or simply helping out in the kitchen, ShopRite’s select top chefs are “on call” Thanksgiving week to guide both seasoned and beginner cooks through their holiday meal preparations.

Our ShopRite Culinary Workshop professional chef instructors share kitchen-tested recipe ideas while encouraging cooks to calm down and enjoy the day.

What's one big turkey tip? Give the turkey time to rest once you take it out of the oven. It keeps the turkey from drying out and frees up the oven to make gravy or side dishes.

ShopRite this year launched a Family Meals campaign that focuses on the benefits of family meal time and our ShopRite Culinary Workshop chefs are playing a key role in that campaign. Chefs are hosting cooking classes for adults and children in our ShopRite stores and in-store food demos while offering healthy Family Meals recipes and meal solutions with our ShopRite Kitchen prepared foods.

To talk live with a ShopRite Culinary Workshop Chef Instructor Thanksgiving week, customers are encouraged to call 1-800-ShopRite (1-800-746-7748) at the following times and ask for the “chef on call.”

About ShopRite’s Culinary Workshop
Created over 10 years ago, ShopRite’s Culinary Workshop offers hands-on cooking classes taught by area professional chefs in many of our stores.  Our chefs offer tips on easy and healthy meal prep and lots of recipes to make family meals more attainable. For a minimal fee, guests attend a 2-hour class and fully participate in the preparation of an entire meal.  After the meal is finished, they dine with the chef.  The Culinary Workshop also offers birthday parties for kids ages 5 – 16, and is a great forum for team building workshops. ShopRite continually looks for ways to help its customers save money on their food budget.  By providing money and time-saving professional tips, customers learn to prepare restaurant quality foods in their own home. ShopRite’s Culinary Workshop also partners with civic organizations, local businesses and hospitals to provide classes for their members or clients.
