Paramus, N.J. (Dec. 7, 2015) -- The ShopRite of Paramus welcomes Registered Dietitian Christina Kamilaris to its in-store staff.
Ms. Kamilaris, who earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nutritional services from Rutgers University and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in clinical nutrition at New York University, is now available to work with ShopRite customers seeking advice on nutrition and meal planning.
“The Glass family is very excited that Christina has joined us at our Paramus ShopRite store,” said Terry Glass, co-president and operator of the ShopRite of Paramus. “More customers are seeking ways to create healthier meals and advice on nutrition, and Christina is an expert who will be available to our customers to offer advice and guidance.”
Ms. Kamilaris will be available to help shoppers read nutrition labels, counsel those with food allergies, and develop personalized meal plans for customers.
In her free time, she likes to experiment with recipes, creating healthy and tasty versions of classic dishes. Her goals are to use “food as medicine” to prevent the prevalence and progression of disease, and to bring health and wellness to customers, associates and the local community.

As part of ShopRite’s Retail Dietitian team, Ms. Kamilaris is one of more than 120 Registered Dietitians who service ShopRite stores in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Delaware and Maryland.  These Dietitians offer nutrition advice, meal planning, and diet modification for specific medical conditions.  Shoprite is proud to be one of the first retailer-owned cooperatives to offer Retail Dietitian services since the program launched in 2006All nutritional services are available to customers free of charge.
