Chef Fabio Viviani, Top Chef alum, restaurateur, and New York Times best-selling  cookbook author will join ShopRite of Greater Morristown customers for a FREE cooking demo featuring Bialetti cookware Thursday, August 7, 2014 from 12:00 to 1:30 PM and 5:00-7:00 PM. Chef Fabio will greet customers and sign copies of his cookbook Fabio’s Italian Kitchen, which will also be available for purchase.

ShopRite announced today that the grand opening of its newest store, ShopRite of Howard Park, located at 4601 Liberty Heights Avenue in the Howard Park community of Baltimore, MD is planned for Thursday, July 31, 2014.  The store will have a community celebration, followed by a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony on July 31st at 12:00 PM

KLEIN FAMILY SHOPRITES HOST GOODS FOR GUNS COLLECTION IN THE CITY OF BALTIMORE

Through a combined effort of ShopRite Supermarkets, elected officials, non-profit organizations and the local police, the number of guns on the streets of Baltimore will be greatly reduced. On July 26, 2014, from 10:00am – 2:00pm there will be a Goods for Guns collection in the city of Baltimore through this partnership.

ShopRite Supports Autism Speaks

In support of April’s National Autism Awareness Month, ShopRite is proud to announce that associates at Eickhoff family-owned stores in Southern New Jersey raised more than $30,000 for the cause. During the month of March, associates banded together to raise funds in support of Autism Speaks, the nation’s largest autism science and advocacy organization. Participating stores included the ShopRites of Cinnaminson, Hainesport, Delran, Mount Laurel, and Willingboro.

SHOPRITE OF SEWELL OFFERS UNIQUE NEW SERVICE

To help customers live healthier lifestyles, ShopRite of Sewell, NJ, will now provide the free services of an in-store dietitian. Frank Bottino, manager with Bottino’s ShopRite, a family business that owns and operates the ShopRite of Sewell, announced today that Samantha O’Toole, Registered Dietitian, has joined the organization.  Ms. O’Toole received her Bachelor’s of Science from La Salle University, where she also completed her dietetic internship.  She specializes in allergen-free nutrition.

ShopRite's signature line of bottled sauces are great for use on both the grill and indoors, and are suitable for both cooking and dipping. For my recipe with this sauce, I chose the Asian Sesame Garlic variety. With it being quite hot out, I opted to share a weeknight favorite that comes together quickly, and uses only the stove top.

The Fourth of July has come and gone, the sun is blazing, and my garden is starting to produce.  It's easy to eat healthy when the food is fresh and flavorful.  I love cooking with homegrown herbs and veggies…but I don't like standing over a hot stove for hours on end.  Shortcuts are totally my friend.
