Little Falls ShopRite presents the 2nd Annual ShopRite Sprouts Awards!

ShopRite of Little Falls announced the top three winners of its 2nd Annual ShopRite Sprouts Awards at a special ceremony on December 1, 2014 at the Totowa Library. The ShopRite Sprouts program is an eight week incentive program designed to encourage children to try new fruits and vegetables.

To help customers live healthier lifestyles, four local ShopRite stores will now provide the services of an in-store dietitian.  DJ Romano, President of RoNetco Supermarkets, a family business that owns and operates seven ShopRite stores in northwest New Jersey, announced today that ShopRite stores in Hackettstown, Flanders, Succasunna and Byram now offer the free nutrition service to all customers.

ShopRite Makes Annual Donation of Holiday Turkeys

Fighting hunger in the community is at the very heart of ShopRite’s charitable giving. Since 1999, ShopRite Partners In Caring, a year round hunger-fighting initiative, has donated more than 800,000 pounds of frozen turkeys to food banks in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware, Pennsylvania and Maryland.  This year’s record donation of 60 tons of turkeys has already been loaded on ShopRite trucks and is on its way to local food banks.

BELOVED COMMUNITY CHARTER SCHOOL WINS TERRACYCLE’S “RECYCLED PLAYGROUND CHALLENGE”

BelovED Community Charter School of Jersey City is the winner of the Recycled Playground Challenge, courtesy of Colgate, the global oral care leader; ShopRite, which has more than 250 stores in the Northeast; and recycling pioneer TerraCycle®. The three year old school has won a brand-new recycled playground made from oral care waste.

The 27th ShopRite LPGA Classic Presented by Acer will be held May 25-31, 2015, tournament officials announced today. Defending champion Stacy Lewis, who has held the World No. 1 ranking since winning this year’s tournament, will join one of the best fields in women’s professional golf in their annual return to the historic Bay Course at Stockton Seaview Hotel and Golf Club.

Can I just admit for a second how hard it is for me to break bad habits? What habit am I talking about? I drink WAY too much caffeine. While at work, I would aimlessly chug cup after cup of coffee. That would lead to me getting super jittery and stressed out.

As I post these photos I snapped while my favorite pumpkin bread cooled all Tuesday afternoon, I realize that, despite the dozens of pumpkin recipes on my boards, and the fact that we really enjoyed the pumpkin granola and pumpkin I made this weekend, I am simply eager to make this big ole' loaf again
